Club Updates
Sunday Social
Another lovely Sunday Social Run, this time at Frensham Pond. The rain held off so we were able to enjoy a cuppa afterwards at the cafe.
Our club night runs are on a Wednesday when we have 8 different pace groups heading out around Farnham.
Club Night
Thank you to our friends at the Golden Fleece in Elstead for hosting us last night and for smashing beer and food afterwards.
We managed to avoid getting lost in a new location, other than one keen extended run from one group, and really enjoyed running some beautiful new Surrey trails.
6 different pace groups went out last night and 5 of them managed to avoid splashing in the river.
Sunday Social
What a fantastic start to a Sunday, a lovely breezy Sunday Social Run along the canal.
A great flat route, at a nice steady pace with a mixed ability group.
Our club nights runs are on a Wednesday when we have 8 different pace groups heading out around Farnham.
Club Night
The odd rain shower dodged our happy runners last night and ended up as wonderful running conditions.
6 different pace groups out mixing it up around Farnham this week and next week we are looking forward to a run around Elstead.
Club Night
Wonderful Wednesday!
Another great week here at the club! Lots to celebrate and to be grateful for.
Our club exists to allow people to run in an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and included.
We are proud of where we are today, after almost three years since this was just another crazy idea!
Our members thrive on supporting each other and watching people achieve not only with their running but also personally.
Elstead Village Marathon
FTRC does Elstead Village Marathon! What a great event and nice and cool for a change! Well done everyone
Club Night
Another busy club night finding our way around Farnham in the evening sun.
A warm evening slowed the pace a little but with 7 different speed groups our members have plenty of choice on how they want to run.
Club Night
Slow and steady in the heat last night for our club run.
7 pace groups with 50 runners last night enjoyed the paths and trails of Farnham and a refreshing drink afterwards. Well having run past at least 5 pubs along the way it was only right we too invested in our local businesses.
Endure24
There is something rather special about running with friends through the lamp lit woods on a trail run at 3am in the morning.
This weekend 26 club runners/campers took part in Endure 24. This is a 24 hour event where teams, pairs and solos' complete as many laps as possible of an 8k woodland loop in 24 hours. Over 3,000 enter and it is probably our most enjoyable event of the year. Some take it seriously and some take the camping seriously.
Friends, running, camping, wood fires and food and beer, what more could you need.
Our running club is all about the friendly community and this event is perfect fit for us. Enjoying the running whilst having fun with friends
Yateley 10k
Well done to our FTRC members who completed the first of the Yateley 10k Series yesterday evening. It was warm out there but that didn’t stop these guys bringing home PBs, placements and medals all round!
Medal Monday
Wow, what a fantastic weekend of running we've had!! Some brilliant events from Woodland Woggle to Goring Gap Run with distances from 6km to 52km!
The sun shone yesterday, making the run through the beautiful trails of the Hampton Estate even more spectacular, but the open area for those running an ultra-marathon in Goring made the event even harder. Well done to Laura and Tanya for pushing on through in the heat.
Well done to everyone for getting out there, taking part, and receiving that well-earned medal at the finish line.
Club Night
Well after the midday downpour it turned out to be a pretty awesome evening for a trail.
Yesterday we mixed things up and headed out from Farnham Park taking in the delights of the surrounding trails including Borley Wood and Caesars Camp in our usual pace groups.
