-
Philip Potter
Chair
Philip is a Farnham boy, born and educated locally. He has been at the club since formation and keeps himself busy running a business, spending time with the family and travelling. He recently hiked to Everest Base Camp with his wife Kit.Just don’t ask Philip to complete your race details as he cant even get his own name right and has appeared at events with some very strange wording on race numbers
-
Emma Roberts
Club Treasurer
Emma joined FTRC when it was founded in 2020. At that time she had a bit of a love / hate relationship with running, but quickly found the power of group and social running. With two ultra marathons now under her belt she no longer looks for excuses not to get out – no matter what the weather. When not out running Emma balances a busy job in financial services with family life, including trying to keep a crazy doodle dog entertained and behaving herself, which is somehow way harder than bringing up 3 girls.
-
Sophie Mcguinness
Club Secretary
Sophie joined the club in March 2022 having run a few 5KMs before. She enjoys her social running and her favourite event is the half marathon distance where her times have really improved.

-
Libby Ralph
Committee Member
Libby meant to join FTRC when it started, but broke her foot, not making it until August 2021.After being coerced by a sponsor to do the 1982 London Marathon, (fuelled by beer and ice cream stops - 1980s-style gels!), she was an intermittent runner, doing occasional 5-10k events. A 2016 New Year’s resolution sparked a parkrun habit, and since joining FTRC she’s added half marathon, 20k and 10-mile events.
A Farnham resident since 1988, Libby knows every local path. In 2010, she gave up her job in IT consultancy and did a degree in conservation. She is now a Trustee and volunteer leader with various local groups, also supporting the local authorities with biodiversity policies and plans.
-
David White
Committee Member
David joined FTRC shortly after it was formed and has been on the committee for the last 2 and a half years. After recovering from ankle surgery in 2019, David struggled with that 'get up and go' attitude until he started with FTRC.
Now a regular attendee to club nights as well as solo runs 2-3 times a week, David enjoys his running and has completed the London Marathon as well as events like Endure 24 and many 10k races more locally.
