Firstly - What is it?
Addiction is defined as not having control over doing, taking or using something to the point where it could be harmful to you.

What causes addiction?
There are many reasons why addictions begin and in many cases it affects the way you feel physically and mentally. These feelings can be enjoyable and create a powerful urge to using or taking something again.
Being addicted to something means that not having it causes withdrawal symptoms.
Getting help
There are many ways you can seek help mid you are struggling with addiction. You can speak to your GP or contact an organisation which specialises in addiction.
