Welfare Wednesday

Septembers edition of welfare Wednesday will be focused on keeping your heart healthy🫀

Cardiovascular health refers to the health of the heart and blood vessels. It’s important that you understand your risk, make healthy choices and take steps to help reduce your chances of getting heart disease.

Your heart is responsible for pumping nutrient-rich blood throughout your body and it supplies oxygen whilst removing any toxins and waste, therefore your heart health is central to your overall health.

Over the next few weeks we will be sharing tips on how to reduce your risk of heart disease and how to check the health of your heart.

There are many different types of heart disease and these all come with varying symptoms, however if you experience any of these symptoms it is important to seek medical help:

🔹 Chest pain

🔹 Shortness of breath

🔹 Fainting

Always call 999 if you think you’re having a heart attack.

Stay healthy!
