Club Updates
Club Night
Oh we are so close to the club runs being in sunlight and you can feel spring just around the corner.
Over 50 club members turned up last night from 'couch to 5k' to a very keen fast group doing 15KMs. 8 groups ran last night and great to see so many new runners joining the club.
Club Night
Runners need feeding and nothing better than a few pancakes after a run.
Our amazing Chairperson cooked a mass of pancakes yesterday afternoon and managed to get out before the boys in the house touched any of them.
Running and food are the way to a runners heart and with over 40 running last night they didnt last very long!
Training Session
Well we now know why is it called Sunday, as it was shining brightly all yesterday morning and felt like Spring.
20 runners joined Andy Stopher and Brian Stopher from Destination Run Coaching at one of our favourite locations Caesars Camp.
This was a mixed ability session consisting of interval loops that are all about pacing at your own speed. Great to have some or our new runners joining us.
Club Night
8 pace groups enjoying the ups and downs of Farnham and Thursday night we have our Coaching session with Destination Run Coaching which is always fun and time to learn new running stuff.
Club Night
Wonderful conditions for running last night and here are a selection of our happy runners out and about.
7 groups out enjoying the roads, hills and wonderful Farnham locations we are so lucky to be able to run around.
Club Night
Lights. High-Vis. Action! Another great run and catch-up at the club house last night.
Farnborough Half
Congratulations to all the FTRC members that took on a very chilly Farnborough Half Marathon today!
The temperature at the start was -6 degrees, but the runners soon warmed up and produced some brilliant results.
Well done to everyone that took part, a great local event with brilliant support.
Club Night
Brrrrr that was a chilly one. Great to see so many turn out on a rather cold night.
Sunday Social
Three of us club runners headed out for the Sunday social this week, covering 6.9 miles. A lovely dry day we ran a nice steady pace around Tongham and Farnham and up the shortcut hill to the Hoggs Back. (One of us now has the Local Legend Title) ๐. Then at the end dropped in for a coffee and cake at Lulus coffee and Sandwich shop in Badshot Lea. oh and whatโs happened to Monkton Lane, fun navigating today!
Training Session
We are fortunate to work with Bryan and Andy who deliver excellent coaching sessions to our members, with drills, technique, form, endurance and speed.
Tonight we headed to Fleet for a hill training session and it was brilliant. Suitable for all levels and tailored to support our members, the coaches took us through a warm up run, drills and then onto the main session.
Club Night
Another really busy and enjoyable club night last night with new runners, new trainers and new wet weather gear after a rather wet January.
Club Night
January can be a tricky month for some, so getting outside for a walk and run with friends is the perfect 'pick me up'.
