Club Updates
Club Night
There is a rumour that next week the sun will come out for a club run, but runners love a bit of wet weather as it is great for the soul.
Training Session
Another great training session with our partner Destination RUN Coaching in Farnham Park.
Always the best sessions, with a good warmup skills and drills before the main element, which this week was a relay.
These sessions are tailored for all abilities, and each individual can take part within their own running zone.
Couch to 5K
Wow!! What a fantastic morning for some of our Couch to 5K members, taking part in their first parkrun UK today at a very soggy and muddy Rushmoor parkrun.
They have worked so hard over the last eight weeks, and put the effort in and made the commitment. We still have four weeks to go as our programme is twelve weeks, and then we look forward to them joining our regular weekly club runs.
Thanks to our brilliant Run Leaders, Laura and Tanya, who give so much support to ensure everyone feels safe, without pressure and enjoy the sessions.
Club Night
Well that was a WET Wednesday!
Absolutely soaked! But still smiling 😊
Well done to our hard core groups who headed out last night including our 'couch to 5k' group now in week 8 of their training. Jumping was also a requirement last night to get over those mega puddles!
WINTER MILES FOR SUMMER SMILES.
Medal Monday
Fantastic running from Team FTRC this weekend at The Fleet Half and Salisbury 10 Mile events! And brilliant to have so many supporters out too. Salisbury certainly wins hands down on the heaviest medal! If you raced this weekend we’d love to hear about it!
Surrey Half
Well done to our FTRC members who completed the Surrey Half this weekend! It’s brilliant to see our members achieve great things after all the training they’ve put in. If you’re sporting some bling from triumphs over the weekend do share them with us!
Training Session
Another busy mixed ability coaching session with Andy and Brian from Destination Run Coaching.
Up at Caesars Camp completing 6 x half KM pacing, up and down what seem a gentle slope but really tested the legs.
The weather was on our side today and it ended up the perfect temperature for an early morning sprint to set up a great Sunday.
Club Night
Oh we are so close to the club runs being in sunlight and you can feel spring just around the corner.
Over 50 club members turned up last night from 'couch to 5k' to a very keen fast group doing 15KMs. 8 groups ran last night and great to see so many new runners joining the club.
Club Night
Runners need feeding and nothing better than a few pancakes after a run.
Our amazing Chairperson cooked a mass of pancakes yesterday afternoon and managed to get out before the boys in the house touched any of them.
Running and food are the way to a runners heart and with over 40 running last night they didnt last very long!
Training Session
Well we now know why is it called Sunday, as it was shining brightly all yesterday morning and felt like Spring.
20 runners joined Andy Stopher and Brian Stopher from Destination Run Coaching at one of our favourite locations Caesars Camp.
This was a mixed ability session consisting of interval loops that are all about pacing at your own speed. Great to have some or our new runners joining us.
Club Night
8 pace groups enjoying the ups and downs of Farnham and Thursday night we have our Coaching session with Destination Run Coaching which is always fun and time to learn new running stuff.
Club Night
Wonderful conditions for running last night and here are a selection of our happy runners out and about.
7 groups out enjoying the roads, hills and wonderful Farnham locations we are so lucky to be able to run around.
